I really can't recommend Jane highly enough! She has tutored both my son & daughter and both passed their grammar entrance exams for BSB & BSG with flying colours. They very much enjoyed the time they spent with Jane and even looked forward to their lessons! Jane is an excellent teacher and very focused on the individual child and finding out what learning methods work for each of them, in a calm, efficient and practical but fun way. What I am especially grateful for is the quiet confidence and self belief that she instilled in them with her gentle encouragement and guidance. Karen Williams
I can’t sing Jane’s praises enough. My son went to a good primary school, however the skills required for the non-verbal reasoning exam were not taught in his school. Jane was able to familiarise my son in this way of understanding to solve problems based on visual reasoning. One parents evening I was told by his teacher, that although he was a good all rounder, he struggled a bit with his English. The next parents evening I attended, the complete opposite was mentioned. His teacher explained that my son had gone up a whole level, and went on to say, that it’s usual a pupil can go up a sub division in various subjects in a short space of time, but never a whole level. I only had Jane to thank for that. My son then went on to pass his 11+ into BSB. One of my proudest moments! I don’t think this would have happened without her. I truly don’t. Thanks Jane. Jane has tutored 2 of my children for the 11+ grammar school exams and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Both of my children lacked confidence in their ability and Jane made the lessons fun and something they both looked forward to. When it came to the exams both children were excited to be able to show what they could achieve - she taught them how to cope with the pressure, exam techniques as well as helping to strengthen their ability in math and english - both sailed through the 11+ and have continued to do well after such a fantastic grounding. I have already signed Jane up to help my youngest child when the time arrives. Jane is honest, incredibly diligent and genuinely cares deeply for the children she works with. Julie Williams
Jane tutored both my sons from years 4-6 and I would highly recommend her. She is calm, professional & organised and excelled in developing the boys’ confidence. I was impressed by her understanding of the different personality and needs of my children and her ability to individualise her teaching to suit the child.
